Panagiotis Goudas 0
Hello there! I created a report in ESET console so that I can see how many duplicate entries I have. I noticed that I have a lot of PCs that appear two times in my console of ESET Protect. My question is this: If I just remove the older entry, will it remove its license as well? The older PCs that don't communicate with the console anymore had ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Management Agent installed but the machines are out of network now and have been replaced by new PCs with ESET on them. Furthermore, is there any way to automate this procedure via task or policy? We have a policy that deletes the PCs that haven't communicated with the console the last 90 days. Thanks in advance for your answer.
damtechmatt 10
Yes. If you delete a machine from the console, it will ask if you want to deactivate it too, which will reduce your licence count.

In case you are removing devices using standard task "Delete non connecting device" in the console, it has a special configuration parameter "Deactivate License" that will handle deactivation automatically on a moment device will be removed from the console. For more details, check for example this KB article: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7956-delete-non-connecting-computers-from-eset-protect
