Ninjaguardian 0
I just turned on my laptop and eset said svchost was trying to access BGADefMgr.exe in microsoft pc manager. detection: a variant of MSIL/Microsoft.Bing.A potentially unwanted application it also says "This is a program that might not pose a security risk but could affect the computer's performance and reliability, or cause changes in system behavior." with a link that does little help. Do I just leave it?
itman 1,718
Refer to this article: https://gridinsoft.com/blogs/msil-microsoft-bing-a-detection/ The latest campaign by Microsoft to trick you into setting Bing as your default search engine is not related to Bing wallpaper. It's your decision to allow it or not. The Eset PUA detection is correct. Edited Thursday at 11:06 PM by itman
