Alith 0
I had an incoming email that was detected as a threat and therefore not opened. It shows in the log files as being detected. Do I have to do anything else besides delete the email?
rugk 397
Deleting the mail should be enough. (Unless the malware was already running on your system) However what kind of treat was this? Can you please say under what name it is detected and whether it was moved into the folder "Infected items"?
Alith 0
A variant of win32/Spy.keylogger.ODN Trojan from Nalco Canada. It was deleted from the in box. It was never opened, and then it was deleted it out of the deleted folder.
rugk 397
So I think you don't have to worry. Whether the mail will be moved into the "deleted" folder or into a special folder created by ESS ("Infected Items") depends on your setting in ESS.
