santoso 7
Hello, I want to know what happen when Eset endpoint encryption with full disk ecryption enable and then license expired? Will it still have password protected when user start pc? Or it will be no password to login. Or it still have password protected, but newest file will not encrypt so it can be open in another pc with HDD docking for example? ESET Staff Solution Kstainton 39 Posted July 24, 2023 ESET Staff Solution Share Posted July 24, 2023 (edited) Hi @santoso, EEE will still have it's Pre-Boot Authentication screen and require a password to access the disk, and the whole disk will remain encrypted. Please see this KB to understand what happens when your EEE license expires: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7536-expired-eset-endpoint-encryption-license Thank you, Kieran Edited July 24, 2023 by Kstainton santoso

DALEX 0
how do you decrypt if this happens?
ESET Staff Kstainton 39 Posted September 6, 2023 ESET Staff Share Posted September 6, 2023 Hi @DALEX, Don't worry, if your license expires, the capability to decrypt your data is absolutely functional via all the usual means be it Standalone EEE or Managed EEE (Via ESET Endpoint Encryption Server). It simply prevents you from re-encrypting after the fact or encrypting new Files/Folders for example. Everything including Files and Folders can be decrypted if your license expires.
