djmcfar 0
New Windows ESSP user. I am interested in some network activity regarding the firewall, so I ran ESET Log Collector in custom mode and the firewall log was produced (epfwlog.dat), however the log is saved as a binary file rendering it unreadable in a text editor. The same applies to all Log Collector files, so my question is, are these logs of any use to the home user (i.e. is there a utility to convert them to something like json, csv, text etc) ? Thanks in advance.
Administrators Solution Marcos 4,838 Posted May 30 Administrators Solution Share Posted May 30 The logs are intended for ESET technical support. However, it's possible to collect logs also in the xml format but it's not suitable for technical support: https://help.eset.com/elc/4.8/en-US/elc_cli.html
