problem with 'product update' in eset smart security

hello  in 7 and 8 version of eset smart security 'product update 'have problem because with release new version when clicking on 'check for updates' tell us your version is latest and this is big problem but in previous version this part was very usefull please check this bug

To install v8, download the installer from ESET's website and run it. The upgrade to v8 that you mean (PCU) is not yet available via gui.

is there difference between live and offline installer?

Live installer is a small application that will run on your computer, detect the Windows version and download the appropriate version of our product.

Offline installer is a standalone installation package which contains all necessary files and can be installed without internet connectivity - however, you need to choose the appropriate version manually before downloading.

You can go here: hxxp://www.eset.com/int/download/home/detail/family/5/ and download either the Live installer, or the offline installer. For offline installer you need to select your desired language and Windows version (32bit or 64bit).
