Most Valued Members shocked 60 Posted October 21, 2014 Most Valued Members Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) my OS is 32bit and I downloaded the 32bit version of 8.0.304.1. upon installation it checks and downloads the latest version, when it finishes and start it, it says that my processor type is not supported.digging through the logs files in the temp directory I saw that it mistakenly downloads the 64bit. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q1vl7ftewolgnph/logs.zipx?dl=0 Edited October 21, 2014 by pavilion_alex
sdalgl72 6 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) My best advice would be to download the offline installer and disconnect from the internet when installing it and it should solve that problem NOD 32: hxxp://www.eset.com/us/download/home/detail/family/2/#offline,136,ENU Smart Security: hxxp://www.eset.com/us/download/home/detail/family/5/#offline,136,ENU Edited October 21, 2014 by sdalgl72
Most Valued Members shocked 60 Posted October 21, 2014 Author Most Valued Members Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) I know i'm just reporting it as a problem I just removed the checkmark on the option to download the latest version, and installation continued as it should. rugk 397 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 However if you now have an old version of ESS that's not such good. The newest version of ESS is version 8 actually. Normal the live installer should automatically detect the correct processor version.
Administrators Marcos 5,408 Posted October 29, 2014 Administrators Posted October 29, 2014 There was an issue detecting correct OS on some systems but it was fixed shortly after v8 release.
rugk 397 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Great. So the issue is resolved. @pavilion_alex Then just try it again! And mark this topic as "solved".
