HarryD 0
Hello, ESET again has the eat-my-CPU-bug 25-50% of CPU and almost 100% of SSD/disk for over 4 hours. I have tried the following: complete uninstall with the uninstall-tool (uninstall + reboot twice to fully eradicate all traces of ESET), then a standard reinstall --> CPU problem persists deactivating HIPS + reboot -> CPU problem persits deactuivating self-protection + reboot --> CPU problem persists The ESET-system thus seems to block itself: whenever it checks for an update, it becomes completely unresponsive, sometimes the GUI-app even crashes and cannot ber restartet withot reboot. When I try to enable logging, it also becomes unresponsive and sometimes crashes. What can I do?
Administrators Marcos 4,720 Posted June 30, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 30, 2022 Please enable advanced operating system logging under Tools -> Diagnostics in the advanced setup, reproduce the issue with high cpu and disk use, disable the logging, collect logs with ESET Log Collector and provide me with the generated archive. Do not keep logging enabled for more than 1 minute since it writes a lot of data.
