Guest sunny
I downloaded a trial version of ESS 6.0 recently and considering how light it was on the system and the detection rates being good, I almost immediately purchased a license. However, I see that the parental control where the options to block sites has a terrible logic applied. Generally, the blocking is a blanket of a set of websites, but if you want to block particular https sites, for example, facebook; it won't work. Trying to enable SSL filtering is such a PITA! I constantly get pop ups and end up disabling both the features. Please let me know if there is a work around for this.
Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted June 11, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 11, 2013 In order to block https web sites, you must have scanning of SSL enabled, otherwise the address would appear encrypted to the scanner. After enabling SSL scanning, you shouldn't get any pop-ups as long as automatic mode ("Always scan SSL protocol") is selected.
