cllee 0
Hi, I am using NOD32. I have a single key that is meant for multi devices. From my admin portal, I noticed there are few devices appeared as "Shared". The thing is I did not allocate any "Share licenses". Referring to the screenshot below (blank out is the email address), any idea how is this devices appeared as "Shared". Thanks.
Administrators Marcos 4,930 Posted November 15, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 15, 2021 A license is shared automatically if you activate the product using an ESET HOME account and later connect the product to another ESET HOME account. So the scenario is the user has use the assigned license for another (second) device? But shouldn't that just appeared as a normal "Protected" entry, rather than as "Shared" entry with an email address in the license info? What is the difference between the entry appeared as "Shared", anyway to track what was those devices? How should I replicate this steps myself for verification? Thanks. Administrators Marcos 4,930 Posted November 16, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 16, 2021 The scenario when this happens is as follows: - install ESET and activate it using an ESET HOME account - disconnect the product from the ESET HOME account - connect the product to a different ESET HOME account This should make the device appear as shared in the former HE account and the license as shared in the current HE account:
