I have a simple drobo backup unit that, when plugged directly into my computer's LAN port, works fine.

But, when plugged into a TP Link switch port, is recognized by the ESET software in HOME NETWORK but is not visible to my computer on File Explorer, My Network.   Thus, I cannot use it and need to.  I've followed all the recommendations by drobo to disable all security software and nothing that I do seems to work.    The drobo team keeps pointing me to ESET blocking them.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Does pausing the firewall, temporarily disabling Connected Home Monitor in the advanced setup or another protection feature or setting make a difference?
