Graedus 0
Hi. I manage a small network(22 devices) with ESMC 7.2, all updated to the latest Eset Endpoint 7.3 This last week I've read reports about this new ransomware "Egregor" and I don't find info about it on virusradar or eset forums. Does ESET detect it and stop it.
Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted November 18, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 18, 2020 It's always difficult to answer questions like this. Even if a particular AV detects a particular malware by name like Win32/Filecoder.Egregor in this case, it can happen that crooks will take an already detected piece of malware and re-pack it in a way that it becomes undetected. However, this is where post-execution protection features come into play and Advanced Memory Scanner should detect such re-packed malware upon execution.
