krs 0
Last week, a few users reported that ESET was blocking the connection to every website they tried visiting. I hadn't changed any policy settings so I tried uninstalling and re-installing the client and it fixed the issue. Today, almost everyone has this problem, regardless of the policies applied to their profiles, ESET blocks access to everything, even the ERA web console and our email web client. How can we fix this? thanks

This could happen if you block the "Not resolved" category and Web Control is unable to connect to ESET's servers to check the category of websites. krs 0
Thanks Marcos - removing the 'Not resolved' category from the web control rules fixed it. How can I investigate the reason for not connecting to ESET's servers?
Administrators Marcos 4,693 Posted November 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 9, 2020 Make sure that the clients can connect to Web Control servers on port 5353 if they are behind a firewall: https://support.eset.com/en/kb332
