winstonsmith84 2
I get these error messages frequently. "During execution of Update on the computer the following event occurred: File does not exist." If I run the update modules task on the affected computer then it updates. Why does this keep happening and how do I make these computers update themselves without having this error?
Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted August 3, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 3, 2020 If you are able to reproduce the error, carry on as follows: - in the advanced setup -> tools -> diagnostics, enable advanced network protection and update engine logging - run update and reproduce the error - stop logging - collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive. winstonsmith84 2
Unfortunately the error happens sporadically across the network. I never know when it's going to happen and I can't force it to happen. Edited August 3, 2020 by winstonsmith84
Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted August 4, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 4, 2020 Theoretically you could use a specific ESET's update server to download updates from and then log http communication with Wireshark and a filter set to that server. This way you could leave Wireshark logging for several days while keeping the log relatively small.
