Upgrade from 6.

Quick question,  got an email from newegg they have Eset AV 6 OEM for $17.  Can I upgrade to 7 for free?  Like install it, active and upgrade to version 7? 

 

It's listed as ESET AV 6 OEM if that matters.  I don't want to buy it and find out I can't the newest version.

Yes you can, infact you can use any version from V3 to V7 as long as the license is valid.

 

What I would do is to buy it, but not download and install V6 and afterwards upgrade that install to V7.

 

Instead I would download V7 and put in the license info you get from Newegg into the V7 installation directly. (if possible)

 

 

Edit: I just saw this are you saying that you have V7 installed right now and have activated a trial period?

If Yes, then all you should need to do is buy it from newegg and when the trial period is starting to end simply put in the license info into your current V7 install.
