does the ESET NOD32 Antivirus 2014 edition works with WHS v1? 

and does it run smoothly in the background.

Unless ESET states otherwise, i recommend using File Security instead of Nod32.

I checked the File Security version. In terns of price 29 usd vs 150 usd, what better features the File Security provide than NOD32, both uses the AV engine. Im using HP EX495, don't you think this is to much for a simple home server.

The reason i suggested it is based on exclusions for roles and services already implemented.

 

If your home server is a basic server with no features being used, and simple file sharing alone, you may be ok with Nod32 only.

Thanks again, This info will help me in the future since im planning to make another server (windows server 2012 essential). so for the current time i will go with nod32.
