Hal9000 0
I installed ESET Internet Security 13.0.22.0 on my Acer Aspire A717-72G laptop (i5, 8GB RAM, Win 10). After install the fingerprint authentication stopped working for both, the orignal admin account and my standard user account. It's not that my fingerprint is not recognized, it's more like the option for fingerprint authentication is not there anymore. In addition, I cannot change the desktop backround anymore. All options are enabled in ESET except device control, gamer mode, parental control and anti-theft. Prior to ESET install everything was working fine. Administrators Marcos 5,242 Posted November 18, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 18, 2019 Does temporarily disabling HIPS and rebooting the machine make a difference? If not, what about temporarily uninstalling ESET? Does the fingerprint authentication work alright then?
Hal9000 0
I disabled HIPS and suddenly it worked. Interestingly it's still working, even after enabling HIPS again. Whatever, problem is solved. Thanks, Marcos!
