raynet 0
Hello, I would like to add scan exclusions at a polcy for ESET File Security (Windows Server 6+) in ESMC but I am not able to add wildcards (* or ?) in the paths. It is only possible to add wildcards in file names but not for folders. Regarding the following article it is possible to do so: https://help.eset.com/efsw/7.1/en-US/idh_config_exclude.html Used ESMC version: 7.0 (7.0.577.0) Thank you. Best Regards
Administrators Marcos 4,712 Posted October 24, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 24, 2019 Wildcards are supported only when creating exclusions by the detection name. They were never supported in the middle of the path.
raynet 0
Alright, so the following screenshot at https://help.eset.com/efsw/7.1/en-US/idh_config_exclude.html is wrong?
Administrators Marcos 4,712 Posted October 25, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 25, 2019 Noted and reported to the documentation team. While those exclusions can be imported via a configuration xml file, they may not work or may stop to work over time as other exclusions are added. The KB article https://support.eset.com/kb7223/ deals with wildcards in exclusions.
