elle 2 Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 ESET blocking url, how to add a rule/exception. ESET Internet Security 12.1.34.0 Win7 x64 Hello! ESET is blocking a site and I can't for the life of me figure out how to add a rule/exception for ESET to allowing it. Tried various scan site for threats like VirusTotal, Kaspersky VirusDesk, Norton etc. and no issues, threats or malware found. The weird thing is the site worked just fine a few day's ago. Here is what I'm doing, (obviously wrong) because it doesn't work. Open ESET -> F5 -> Web access protection -> URL ADDRESS MANAGEMENT -> Address list -> Edit -> List of address... -> Edit -> Add -> Add mask -> Enter a mask that... (paste the site url) (https://www.***) To get access to the site I now pause protection, that's OK but not optimal. Any info and suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks... Best regards
ebill 8 Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 elle, It looks from your screen shots eset has found a ligament threat on the site you are trying to access. The most prudent course may be to contact the site's manager and alert them. I am far from the expert here, but I would not try to "allow" access to that site till the warning goes away. One good thing to try is clear your browser cache and temp files restart your PC and see if the warning is still displayed. All the best -- ebill
Administrators Marcos 5,466 Posted April 20, 2019 Administrators Posted April 20, 2019 Unfortunately you didn't provide url that the threat was detected on. I would not recommend pausing web access protection since the infection can be real and your computer could get infected.
