Instructions to upgrade ERA Server 6.5 to latest

Is it preferred to upgrade using the ERA server console method? Or doing the uninstall and re-install using the MSI?

Also, where can I get the checksum for the ERA Mac installer?

Agent can be upgraded by sending a component upgrade task. If you are using an ERA Proxy, the computers on which you are going to upgrade Agent to v7 must be able to connect to ESMC directly or through an http proxy.

 After upgrading to v7 on the server, will the older WIndows & Mac agents on 6.5 be able to communicate with v7?

Yes they will be connecting and all functionality available in ERA 6.5 should work properly. Newly added functionality, for example HW inventory or support for VDI environments won't be available until AGENT is upgraded.
