Not sure where (country wise) you are located, but I do not believe that ESET solicits license renewal/extension by e-mail. I am in the USA and have been with ESET for years and have never received an e-mail concerning renewal/extension. ESET uses in-program (i.e...in NOD32, EIS, ESSP) notifications to let you know when your license is about to expire. I am not sure what happens in other parts of the globe, but it smells fishy to me.
