TheReservoirDag 0 Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Hi everyone, Each day eset picks up visicom.g as a threat and requires the win 10 pc to reboot. I have been doing this but each day I am getting the same message. Is visicom a problem? Why is eset not able to delete it? thanks
Former ESET Employees foneil 342 Posted October 17, 2017 Former ESET Employees Posted October 17, 2017 I'm told (from ESET malware support) that this looks similar in behavior to other toolbar PUAs (http://www.virusradar.com/en/Win32_Adware.Toolbar.Visicom.AB/description) -- are you seeing this in Chrome? If so, follow the same instructions in this KB https://support.eset.com/kb6551/, making sure that you don't have sync enabled or it will keep coming back. Otherwise, submit support request for malware tech support to look into it: https://support.eset.com/kb3742/
TheReservoirDag 0 Posted October 17, 2017 Author Posted October 17, 2017 Hello and thanks for your time. What you have pointed out makes sense. I've looked at each extension and there is nothing there that is different from the past and they're all relatively standard items (icloud sync, pocket, lastpass, click and clean). But I have no idea which toolbar is the problem so I guess I will need to leave Sync off, enable them one by one and see what happens each time I open the PC. Thanks
