eugeniu 0
Hi, I am trying to see whether changing the num_thrd option in esets.cfg makes any difference when multiple files are submitted for processing to the esets_scan tool. I set this option in [global] section of the cfg file. However running the ps -eLo pid, cmd, nlwp | grep esets_scan shows that nlwp (number of threads for esets_scan) process is always 1 regardless of the setting I use for num_thrd. I am submitting 10 files at once to the scanner tool. Why aren't there 10 threads created when num_thrd=10 ? Or what am I doing wrong? The daemon is not resident in memory. I am using just the scanner tool from the command line. Thanks.
ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 948 Posted October 15, 2013 ESET Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2013 Hello Eugeniu, num_thrd options is under daemon options so it applies to objects scanned by esets_daemon, not by esets_scan.
