itman 1,748
That error code usually occurs when there is system file corruption. Open up a command prompt window as admin. Then type the following less the quote marks "sfc /scannow". Note the space before the "/" character. This will run for a while. When completed, it will display a message stating no issues were found or issues were detected and corrected. If the later is the case, try to install Eset again. If uncorrected issues are displayed at the end of the sfc scan, post a screen shot of what is displayed. Also state what OS you have installed. itman 1,748
That error code can also indicate corrupted system registry keys which is another matter. For the record, Kaspersky is notorious for not uninstalling clean and/or trashing system settings. Let's take things one at a time. Download Kaspersky's removal tool here: https://support.kaspersky.com/us/common/service#block5 .Run it per instructions given on that web site. Make sure you reboot after the tool has been run. Then try to install Eset again. Edited November 13, 2016 by itman
Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted November 16, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 16, 2016 Please contact your local customer care and file a regular support ticket. We'll need a Process monitor log from the time of launching the installer for further analysis by developers. You can provide the log (or a download link) to me as well.
