kjb 0 Posted October 19, 2016 Share Posted October 19, 2016 The Mac version of Endpoint Antivirus seems a bit too energy hungry. It's always listed under the battery icon popup as "Apps using significant energy" even when not scanning or doing anything that should trigger real-time protection. Also, on a Macbook pro with dual GPU it regularly forces use of the high-power GPU (shows up in activity monitor as "high-perf GPU required"). Killing the Eset process and restarting fixes this for a while, but why does it claim the GPU? I'd be happy to help if you want to look into these issues.
