ESET CyberSecurity 4.x ignoring exclusions

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an issue with a product which kills system performance with Real Time Protection enabled.  The vendor advises disabling RTP for the folder where it stores data.

e.g. \users\username\documents\vendorfolder

So I have added that path to the exclusions list as follows:

\users\username\documents\vendorfolder\*.*

However the application still performs poorly and the system console shows logs from the esets_daemon logging Warning for Slow Load for files which are within \users\username\documents\vendorfolder and so should be excluded from RTP scanning.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks
