Cannot install smart security

HI there

 

Trying to install Eset Smart Security 9. I tried both the live installer and the offline one and it hangs at 2% saying "stopping services". Nothing else happens after that.

 

It's a brand new Windows 10 laptop. 16 gigs of ram. 2.6ghz quad core cpu

 

Please help.

Since most new computers come pre-installed with security software from another vendor, we'd recommend uninstalling it as that could be what's causing the hangup. You can find our AV Removal Tool as well as links to official links for each vendor here: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb146/
