If you don't want to submit suspicious files or statistics to ESET, you can disable this in the advanced setup and the protection status will remain green. Of course, disabling submissions will also cause that ESET may not be able to react quickly to new threats and add a signature detection if you get infected with a new threat that is detected only in memory for instance.
