Good day how are you? I need to set a password to the ESET interface so that the user cannot see anything directly. Is this possible? Thank you. Greetings.

If you want to protect all endpoints with a password, you can do it via a policy as per https://help.eset.com/ees/11/en-US/password_protected_settings.html.

To protect a non-managed endpoint, set the desired password in the advanced setup -> User interface -> Access setup.

Thanks for the reply. I have already applied that. What I need is that the user cannot open the ESET interface directly, is this possible? Thank you.

I've tested it myself and a silent gui start mode policy worked for me like a charm. After rebooting the machine or logging out and logging in the user the ESET icon did not appear in the system tray.

Is it possible that another existing policy affects the new policy? because I created a new one in silent mode and I see that it is not applying, the icon continues to appear in the taskbar.

Did you actually restart the machine or logged out and logged in?

I would check what policies are applied on the client in client details. It could be that a policy with GUI start mode set to Full overrides the policy that sets "silent" mode.
