Capture132 0
Hi, My boss is willing to install eset on my computer as part of their IT security measures. I just want to know what kind of information the IT team will have access to, including: Internet history when no security alert is triggered? Internet history when a security alert is triggered? Periods of activity? Other relevant things? Thanks a lot!
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,234 Posted February 2 Administrators Solution Share Posted February 2 ESET is not a remote monitoring software. No Internet history when a security alert is triggered? No Periods of activity? An admin will see when the management agent has recently connected to the PROTECT server. Other relevant things? Capture132 0
Of course - ESET is not a remote monitoring software. But I imagined the scenario where a user would trigger an alert only by visiting a website and that alert would go up to the IT administrator, allowing him to see with details what the reason of the alert was. It seems that scenario does not apply and if that's the case, thank you for your answer!
Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted February 2 Administrators Share Posted February 2 Admins could see the url if malware was detected there or if it was blocked by Web Control, etc.
Capture132 0
So the answer to my second question was... yes?
Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted February 2 Administrators Share Posted February 2 Just now, Capture132 said: So the answer to my second question was... yes? If you mean the whole browsing history, then the answer is no. If you mean just urls with malware or blocked by Web Control rules, then it's possible that admins will see them in reports.
