Can HIPS protect read file operations?

I noticed that currently HIPS can only protect file writing and deletion operations, but sometimes users may also need to protect reading operations, such as preventing unknown programs from reading browser history and cookies. Can HIPS protect file reading operations? , or are there plans to add this feature in the future?

No, read operation is not available for file operation HIPS rules. I assume it is due to the overhead of monitoring these operations.
