rugk 397 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) With a small trick it is possible to have a Firewall on Android without root access. This trick is quite simple. On Android 4.0 or higher you can built a VPN connection, which redirects all network traffic though an application which "simulates" this VPN. Then it can filter this traffic. This way many features ESET has in ESS e.g. are possible, like: firewall application-independent phishing protection application-independent web protection/protocol filtering So if ESET could implement this in EMS the app would be even more powerful. And it works - you can see this e.g. at this app: NoRoot Firewall Edited January 4, 2015 by rugk
