A copy of the ESET PROTECT 8.0 server database is not being restored

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon!

Please tell me, a copy of the ESET PROTECT 8.0.2225.0 server database was made using mysql , after installing a new server, I'm trying to restore with a regular tool through the console, there is an error:

Database backup is from version "yes it's empty here" which is not compatible with installed "8.0.2225.0". You need to perform upgrade to restore to this backup. Please deploy new appliance and restore the backup there before continuing with appliance configuration.

If you restore a copy of the database using mysql : "mysql -u root -p era_db < /root/era-backup.sql" then the server does not start after that, when you try to log in to the console, an error appears: Login failed: Connection has failed with state "Not connected" after checking the services, it is clear that the eraserver service does not it starts:

# service eraserver status
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl status eraserver.service
● eraserver.service - ESET PROTECT Server
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/eraserver.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Fri 2022-09-16 09:14:57 CEST; 1s ago
Process: 9246 ExecStart=/opt/eset/RemoteAdministrator/Server/ERAServer --daemon --pidfile /var/run/eraserver.pid (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
Main PID: 9247 (code=exited, status=70)

Sep 16 09:14:57 eset-esmc-test2 systemd[1]: eraserver.service failed.

If you look at the server log along the way:

/var/log/eset/RemoteAdministrator/Server/trace.log

then there is an error:
2022-09-16 07:14:57 Error: Service [Thread 7f68ad515740]: [MySQL][ODBC 8.0(w) Driver][mysqld-5.6.50]PROCEDURE era_db.usp_stored_installers_load_all_valid does not exist (1305)
I tried how to roll back the driver version to 5.3 in the knowledge base does not help.

According to https://www.eset.com/int/ua-crisis/, ESET does not sell nor provide support to Russia and Belarus any more. You can contact the former ESET partner in Russia who may provide support on their own.

Having said that, we'll draw this topic to a close. Please do not create duplicate topics which is against our forum rules.
