Is there a schedule when Ubuntu 22.04 will be supported?

There is no ETA yet.

+1. Given that Ubuntu 22.04 is the current LTS version, I am extremely disappointed in the apparent lack of a support roadmap. Is there any source that we can monitor for announcement of support or planned support?

We've been working on adding support for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS since its beta version. Unfortunately due to bigger changes affecting our products, it takes some time to adapt to it. Support is planned for Endpoint v9.1 later this year.

There are so many users running Ubuntu wishing for this compatibility in my organisation. Great to know that it is expected for later this year, the latest Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is looking strong... hope ESET can deliver this update soon.

installing the agent is possible - with the following workaround!

download from ubuntu 20.04 the following files:

Quote

libssl1.1_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2.13_amd64.deb
openssl_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2.13_amd64.deb

and install them with

Quote

dpkg -i libssl1.1_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2.13_amd64.deb openssl_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2.13_amd64.deb

after a successful install you can download and install the agent on ubuntu 22.04!

it is a pity that eset takes so much time here (end of year), the ubuntu 22.04 version is "only" final since april 2022 but they could have started with the development a little earlier. beta versions have been available for much longer and the change to openssl 3 has been announced for much longer! openssl has already released version 3 in september 2021.
