Stefano Gamage 0
Currently when I login to the ESET Protect Cloud management system I get notified about clients not having Email and Web protection active. Since company policy does not enforce to activate these modules, is there a way to disable "error" alerts for these clients because the modules are not active? The clients have ESET Endpoint security installed. Thank you
Administrators Marcos 4,841 Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2022 You can disable the statuses in the Application statuses setup. However, keep in mind that with these modules disabled you open doors for Internet-borne threats.
Stefano Gamage 0
How do I access the Application statuses setup? Is it through the Status Overview tab?
Administrators Solution Marcos 4,841 Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Solution Share Posted January 5, 2022 Warning for other users: Do not disable any protection modules. Disabling Web access and email protection will expose the machine to Internet-borne threats if the machine is connected to the Internet.
Stefano Gamage 0
Thank you Marcos, it seems to have worked. I do get that these modules are important, but it is in our SOPs to give users the choice to enable or disable these modules. It is recommended, but not enforced.
