barad1tos 0 Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Hi all. I have a strange question, but. Where can I find any information about security parts of the ESET Network Protection Proxy? Does it send any data to the ESET cloud, or have another similar tool that may leak any data away from the mac? Or does it only scans local traffic and leak no one bit away from the mac? Official sources only, please.
Administrators Marcos 5,442 Posted November 8, 2021 Administrators Posted November 8, 2021 Not sure if Web and email protection and firewall are referred to as system extensions or local proxies in the help, probably not. Any application that has its system extensions on Mac OS must have a local proxy for filtering application protocols or network communication. Of course, these proxies do not leak any communication outside and are used only for filtering network communication locally.
