Robert M 0
The screen shots below shoe my version of ESET and the problem I am getting. ESET keeps showing this same problem file but will not delete it. What's wrong?
Administrators Marcos 5,295 Posted August 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 17, 2021 There's probably a permission problem. I assume that you are unable to delete it manually too?
Robert M 0
It is in Time Machine on a Mac - no I cannot delete it manually.
Administrators Marcos 5,295 Posted August 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 18, 2021 I overlooked that the file was detected in a mailbox (mbox) container. It is not possible to clean files in archives or containers. You can delete INBOX.mbox manually but probably you'll need to do it with root permissions. Robert M 0
I don't know how to delete with "root permissions". Is this something I have to worry about? Do I need to change any settings in ESET?
