Adrian Filcik 0
Hello, I discovered a problem with disk usage on startup. It seems it's caused by the ekrn.exe process (according to Windows Task Manager). This behaviour is visible on multiple machines I own, but it's only a problem on the ones that have slower drives (HDDs or SATA SSDs). I looked up some solutions available on the internet. Most of them suggested using logging software first, but when I try so PC freezes most of the time (only on startup during the high disk usage, after that it works fine). I also append multiple snapshots from Task Manager (I'm unable to take a snapshot when the system disk is being used, the whole PC freezes). Administrators Marcos 4,718 Posted February 12, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 12, 2021 Please try to generate advanced oper. system logs from time when the issue is manifesting. You can enabling logging in the advanced setup -> tools -> diagnostics. Don't leave logging enabled for more than 2-3 minutes since the log will grow quickly. When done, collect logs with ESET Log Collector, upload the generated archive to a safe location and drop me a personal message with a download link.
