invotech 0 Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I am virtualizing my entire Production environment with VMware vSphere 5.0. When I try and virtualize (remote from a Windows Server running VM Converter v4.0.1) my ESET Server I get an error "The requested operation is not implemented by the server". I have already disabled Antivirus and Antispyware protection for both real-time file system protection and email client protection. When I try and stop all of the ESET services that are running I get "Access denied". I don't want to rebuild a clean Windows server and re-install and configure ESET on the virtual machine. How can I turn off the service on this machine so I can virtualize it?
Arakasi 549 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 ESET supports vm, so my suggestion would be to export your settings by XML then Uninstall. Virtualize, then reinstall the security software, import your settings back. The following pic is an example of location, even on File Security :hxxp://kb.eset.com/library/ESET/KB%20Team%20Only/SOLN2691/SOLN2691Fig1-5a.png
