Alex de Kock 0
Hi Have a client whom would like to require each mobile device to install certain applications for business use. Would this be deployable and where do I set it up? I understand the limitations that can be set up with blocking and allowing certain processes, but this has to do with the installation of certain "mission critical applications" Thanks
Administrators Marcos 4,705 Posted December 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted December 11, 2017 I'm unsure if deploying business applications on mobile phones has anything to do with ESET.
Alex de Kock 0
Thank you Marcos, I understand. Just would have been an extra selling point as the competitive products provide such functionality. The main aim is to give the device a central point / list from where these required applications are installed / chosen to be installed.
Alex de Kock 0
Hi Marcos, Seems possible in theory, see policies, application control on ERA. Hope I'm on the right track? Edited December 11, 2017 by Alex de Kock
Alex de Kock 0
Required applications If you manage ESET Endpoint Security remotely from ERA, you have the option to define which applications must be installed on the target device(s). The following information is required: •name of the application visible to the user •unique application package name, e.g. com.eset.ems2.gp •URL where a user can find a download link. You can also use Google Play links, e.g. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eset.ems2.gp NOTE: This feature is not available in the ESET Endpoint Security app.
