Upgrading to Windows 10 has BSOD due to edevmon.sys

Recommended Posts

When trying to upgrade a Windows 8.1 system to Windows 10 1607 I get a BSOD with the following details:

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED made by edevmon.sys

I have the logs from the ESET Log collector and I have the "Rollback" folder from the install which contains the logs from the install and the memory dump from the BSOD. I do not want to share these logs publicly so if I could PM it to a Admin directly that would be preferable.

This is happening with Endpoint 6.4.2014.0

Does disabling Hyper-V in the Windows Features setup make a difference? If so, Endpoint v6.5 will address the issue. It should become available for the public soon.
