It does appear that the issue is related to eset @Marcos

A fix would be nice. An acknowledgement that the issue exists would be even nicer.

I'll wait for a fix from ESET, because I don't like to do pale stuff. It could be a problem in the near future.
But thanks for your help, I'll be waiting for ESET to fix it.

I will leave my update disabled for a while. I'm afraid mine will have the same problem.

Well I was curious I went to update the eset when the modules were just installed look what happened to my GPU all disappeared.

I found that it was because of the update of the eset modules.

Checked here, the modules that were updated today were:

The problem must be among some of these.

All that's left for me now is to wait for ESET to fix this problem.
    will it take too long?
I'm afraid of losing performance on my machine since I use a lot of GPU.

I'm doing a test using a sandbox to increase the use of the GPU and the processor and HD.
As the image below shows that the GPU does not go beyond 0%. before updating ESET the GPU will do its part of the processing.
What I noticed is that now I don't have any help from the GPU because the ESET update removed the GPU as I said in the comments above.
What will be the solution that eset will give for the GPU to work again. because all this happened after recent updates.

The Smart Optimization option exists whether ThreatSense settings do; Real-time protection, Malware scans, Web Access Protection, etc.. I really can't see how this setting is related to your WMI problems.

Here's before and after latest ESET update. I'm working with ESET and gadget over 5 years and this happens only after the last ESET update of one of it's modules.

And another mention: After latest ESET update WMI Provider Host / WmiPrvSE.exe constantly loads CPU. It was at 0% CPU usage before the update

After the eset update (which happened between 21.00 1-st May and 01:00 2-nd may) I’ve encountered a problem when most of my gadgets says WMI broken. I wasn’t sure which software exactly broke it, so i’ve started analizing. I revert back to my previous closest windows state which was backup at April 18-th. Backup made with Acronis True Image. Right after first boot WMI works fine until next reboot. I’ve mentioned that right after the first boot eset updates it’s data base, so i’ve decided to recover previous windows state again with turned off LAN adapter so no internet connection involved.  And WMI worked fine. I’ve uninstalled ESET and turned on internet again. Rebooted PC and no issue with WMI. Then i’ve installed ESET again and it instantly broke WMI after reboot. So it’s definitely related to ESET. And i’m unable to restore WMI even after uninstalling ESET. I guess that latest database update makes some permanent changes related to WMI. Maybe in windows Registry or somewhere else. Not sure. But even WMI recovery from it’s backup made from wmimgmt.msc doesn’t help nore wmi database reset. Only windows recover to previous state before eset database update. I’m on Windows 11 with latest updates. Ready to provide any additional info if needed to find the source of WMI break.

Seems app does not see or for some reason can't use GPU anymore, I talk about Premiere Pro.
So solution is only to install windows without Eset for now  And i will do it now because i have no more time to experiment with this, cleary i can see that some problems is with Eset update and that is all what i can say.

I registered only to report this same issue, affecting two distinct computers (edit, make that 5) running EIS. It applies to several other performance counters as well, not only the GPU. If you open Performance Monitor, it will warn you that it was unable to load several performance counters, as shown in the image below:

I was able to replicate the issue following some of the reports here on an already compromised installation:
Performance counters missing/corrupted; Restore them with lodctr /R on %windir%\SysWOW64 (running the command on the System32 folder was unsuccessful with an error code 2); Performance counters working again, no errors on Performance Monitor and GPU usage showing in Task Manager; Completely uninstall EIS; Performance counters still working; Install EIS again; Performance counters still working; Wait for EIS to fully update; Performance counters missing/corrupted with the same issues described above; Able to restore them again with lodctr /R Now it will take a few days to see if the issue reapers after ESET updates again. I'm not sure which module update is the culprit, thought.

I also have this same issue, the GPU graph was gone from task manager performance tab.
Both on my desktop and my laptop. They both have the Eset Internet Security. I hadn't booted up the laptop for weeks, and just after the boot the graph still was there, but then the Eset updated itself and the graph was gone. Windows update wasn't ran yet.
Desktop lost it yesterday. The desktop has an Nvidia card and the laptop has integrated AMD graphics, so that doesn't seem to make any difference. chkdsk /f, sfc/scannow or reistalling graphics drivers didn't help.
Running the commands to rebuild the performance counters fixed it.
I haven't ran into anything else broken yet, other than when I ran sfc/scannow and it found corrupted files and fixed them, though it may be unrelated.

I have a problem with Adobe, Maxon, Redshift etc. The second day I exhaust myself, the problems do not disappear, now I have reinstalled Windows and it seems to be better. It started yesterday after updating the antivirus, I don't know if it's a coincidence.🤧

I don't have any issue until eset get latest update.
    Example
    1. New OS and drivers installed and all is working fine.
    2. Eset installed all is working fine.
3 Eset get update and problems is come.
