pereh 0
Hello, in the knowledgebase I found this: "Windows Vista/7: All ESET products are completely compatible with Microsoft Windows Defender. Windows Defender does not contain any antivirus functionality, so you will not need to uninstall or disable Microsoft Windows Defender when installing your ESET security product." My question: can I disable the Win Defender service on Win 7 Pro SP1 without getting in any trouble? Reason: the MS update packages for Defender constantly create problems with Win Update service (does not respond any more). With Defender disabled, I could ignore the updates. Thank you. (there is no need to disable the service, once you deselect "use this program" and you are notified that it's off, it will remain off)
