Having downloaded the latest version of WinZip for a new PC I see that ESET still complains about it. Can anyone recommend a WinZip  alternative that doesn't get ESET products upset?

7-Zip, it's free and open source, compatible with most archive file types too. When using it, just right click on an archive in Explorer and select an option from the 7-Zip context menu (extract here, extract to folder, etc). You can also use the program itself to compress (and expand/explore) files and more.
