Can't Uninstall ESET Management Agent

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am running into an issue with uninstalling the ESET Management Agent.  I am on version 11.2.2076.0 which is the latest version.  I am uninstalling this silently via command prompt using MsiExec.exe.  Yes, the command prompt is elevated.  However, it does not uninstall where everything else like ESET Endpoint Security as well as ESET Inspect do not have this issue.

When I try to uninstall it manually from the control panel, I am presented with this error.

I click on cancel and can then am able to select remove and am then able to enter in the password that I am using to lock down the gui. Everything seems to be fine but then I am told that the password is incorrect, but the password is correct.  Any help on this please?  Thanks in advance.  I am running Windows 11 Enterprise.

Of note, I am also unable to uninstall ESET Secure Authentication.  No errors but it just seems to roll back.  I am on version 3.0.69.0

I was unable to find such issue reported before. If using the ESET Uninstall tool in safe mode to remove the agent is not an option and the agent is not connecting to the PROTECT server any more, technical support will provide further instructions.

I am encountering the same issues. Now for me, I can't easily boot them in safe mode. Any other options? Isn't there a command line uninstall option without booting in safe mode?

Unfortunately I have no idea why you can't boot to safe mode. If you have troubles removing the management agent, please raise a support ticket.
