False subscription, that I didn’t apply for.

Why did I get an email, that is stating that I have activated my “ESET trial subscription”, even though I didn’t do it??
Is it a scam mail or a legit subscription?

The mail that I received was from “noreply@orders.eset.com”

Somebody has entered your email address in the activation form to activate a trial version of ESET.

Doubtful that whoever activiated the trial license would actually purchase it using your e-mail address since e-mail address is part of Eset registration ID criteria.

Appears some are trying to extend their free usage of Eset by using a legit but bogus e-mail address on successive Eset trial license downloads.

In order to activate auto-renewal, you'd need to have an e-store account where you could then turn it on/off after you've purchased a license. The fact that somebody used your email address to activate a trial version does not impose obligation on you to pay for the license after the trial period ends.
