Forza Horizon 5 messed up after being mistaken for a trojan

When Microsoft Store was updating Forza Horizon 5, Smart Security Premium mistook its main executable for a trojan listed as ML/Augur and removed it outright, not even quarantining it.

Now I have to download all 300+ GB of the game again. If Smart Security Premium breaks the game again, I will uninstall it and demand a complete refund. I switched from Norton to ESET to get away from this kind of garbage. 😠

We are very sorry to hear that. We assume that Microsoft released an update yesterday when it started to be detected by the Augur machine learning system. The last update of the Augur module was more than 2 weeks ago. We are currently striving to get the file, analyze it and fix the detection.

The same seems to be happening with the last Forza Motorsport on the Game Pass.

It should not be detected any more. Anyways, the file was not detected with the Augur module 1145 that has been on the pre-release update channel since November 9.
