Upgrade from 10.1.2050 to 10.1.2058 Package not found in repository

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade Eset endpoint antivirus from 10.1.2050 to 10.1.2058 through Eset Protect Version 10, unfortunately these tasks fail randomly with the error "Package not found in repository".

It works ok on some computers but on others fails, I tried to create new task or initiate the upgrade directly, but unfortunately it doesn't work, also the access to httpp://repository.eset.com/v1/info.meta works from these computers.

Please advise, thank you.

Are you able to install Endpoint 10.1.2058 locally using the msi installer or you get an error due to missing Azure Code Signing (ACS) support?

Hi,

Works only if i chose local path: file://C:\installs\ees_nt64_ENU.msi  .

If i chose network path then i get this error: GetFile: Source path 'file://\\fileservername\eea_nt64.msi' does not exist

Network path: \\fileservername\eea_nt64.msi is reachable from Eset Protect server or other local computer

It won't work from a network path because tasks are run in the local system account which does not have permissions to network shares. I'd recommend not to use the All-in-one installer to install 10.1.2058 while the issue is being investigated.

Problem still persists, unable to update to 10.1.2058.0 with error "not found in repository", ESET Protect on prem

Please elaborate more in the issue. Endpoint should update to v10.1.2058 automatically providing the OS supports ACS.

When creating a software install task, v10.1.2058 is available from the repository:

If you use ESET PROTECT Cloud to manage ESET Endpoint, you can send a "Check for product update" task. If Endpoint downloads product updates from the ESET repository, it should enforce product update to the latest version.

We can confirm the same problem on our local Eset Protect server when trying to update our clients from 10.1.2050.0 til 10.1.2058.0. They all fail with the error 'Package not found in repository'.

We tested and confirmed the same problem on Win10 22H2, Win11 22H2 and Win11 23H2 clients:

As an additional test, we manually installed version 10.0.2045.0 on some clients last week and created two upgrade tasks.
One to upgrade clients from 10.0.2045.0 to 10.1.2050.0, the other one from 10.0.2045.0 to 10.1.2058.0.
The 10.1.2050.0 upgrade went fine, the 10.1.2058.0 upgrade failed.

there's definitely something wrong with the 10.1.2058.0 upgrade.

Creating an installer is for 10.1.2058.0 is not possible for me (ESET Protect on prem, ESMC)

PS: For ESET Endpoint Antivirus 10.1.2058.0 is selectable, but fails to download from repository.

Same error for ESET Endpoint Antivirus 10.0.2049.0

It's seems that ESET remove 2058.0 and EMSC si reporting 2050.0 as current version.

After restarting ESET Protect / ESMC

ESET Endpoint Version 10.1.2058.0 has vanished from repository.

ESET Endpoint Version 10.1.2050.0 is now back, selectable and update to this specific version is working again.
