When to enter renewal license

I want to make sure that I don't loose the remaining  time on my current ESET NED32 home license when I renew.

When I buy a renewal license from a third party, do I need to wait until the current license expires before I enter the new license? Or can I enter the new license immediately and receive a one year extension added to my remaining license time?

If you renew your existing license in advance, you won't lose the remaining period. However, if you purchase a brand new license it will be valid for 1 or 2 years as of the date of purchase or activation in case of a retail (boxed) version.

You can only perform a license renewal from an authorized Eset distributor and not lose remaining time available on the existing license. In the U,S., the recommended source for license renewal is here: https://www.eset.com/us/
