ESET Management Agent won't start

We are using ESET PROTECT and one of our customers had a broken ESET installation. ESET Antivirus was installed, but it refused to work. Even reinstalling this part didn't fix it.

So I decided to uninstall ESET Antivirus and the ESET Management Agent. Removing all folders, files and registry keys pointing towards ESET. Then we did a restart.

Now I tried reinstalling the ESET Management Agent but it refuses to start, the service "ESET Management Agent" is stopped, and when trying to start it throws an error (without specification). Due to this the system also doesn't re-appear in the ESET PROTECT environment.

 

Do you have any idea what might be causing this issue?
